Application of good price and quality carbon graphite electrode material in electric arc furnace steelmaking
Generally speaking, EAF steelmaking can be divided into five stages: raw material collection, preparation before smelting, melting, oxidation and reduction.
Raw material collection
(1) The surface of scrap steel is less rusted, and the impurities such as sand attached to the scrap steel reduce the conductivity of the furnace body, prolong the melting time, and affect the phosphorus removal effect of oxidant and the erosion of furnace lining. If the steel is rusted or stained with oil, the yield of steel and alloy elements will decrease and the hydrogen content of steel will increase.
(2) Scrap cannot be mixed with non-ferrous metals such as lead, tin, arsenic, zinc and copper. Lead has high density and low melting point. It is insoluble in liquid steel and accumulates in the gap at the bottom of the furnace, which is prone to water leakage accidents. Tin, arsenic and copper are easy to cause thermal brittleness of steel.
(3) In scrap steel, closed containers, inflammable, explosive and toxic substances cannot be mixed to ensure safe production.
(4) The chemical composition of scrap steel needs to be clear, and the content of yellow phosphorus cannot be too high.
(5) The shape of scrap steel shall not be too large (the cross-sectional area shall not exceed 150 mm and 150 mm, and the larger length shall not exceed 350 mm). Pig iron is generally used to increase the carbon content of the furnace in the steelmaking of electric furnace, usually no more than 30% of the furnace.
Preparation before smelting

Raw material is an indispensable part of graphite electrode steelmaking process, which is related to the reasonable raw material and whether the steelmaking process can carry out normal smelting work according to the process requirements. Reasonable raw materials can shorten the smelting time. Raw materials: first, we should correctly calculate the raw materials and accurately measure the input of the furnace. The size of the electric furnace should be combined in proportion to achieve the purpose of loading and rapidization. The three furnaces should be used together with the smelting method according to the quality requirements of steel. Fourth, the raw material composition meets the process requirements.

Melting period

In the steelmaking process of electric furnace, the melting period is called from the beginning of power on to the melting of furnace charge. The melting time accounts for about half of the total smelting time, and the power consumption accounts for about 2 / 3 of the total.

The task during melting is to quickly melt and heat the furnace with low power consumption, the slag of the burner, stabilize the arc, prevent suction and remove the initial phosphorus in order to ensure the service life of the furnace.

(1) Arc start phase. When the rated voltage of the furnace is too high, the input voltage of the left and right sides of the furnace is too high. Therefore, when the furnace is fully charged, the input voltage of the transformer is too high.

(2) Good price and quality carbon graphite electrode material rising stage. After the good price and quality carbon graphite electrode material was "drilled", the furnace bottom has formed a molten ground. The lime and some elements at the furnace bottom are oxidized to form slag on the steel liquid level. The surrounding furnace body is dissolved in radiant heat, the precipitation liquid level rises, and the graphite electrode rises gradually. At this stage, it also transmits power with high power, accounting for about 1 / 2 of the total melting time.
(3) Dissolve the doomsday class. When the furnace dissolves more than 3 / 4, the arc is no longer shielded by the furnace, and the high-temperature areas under the three graphite electrodes are combined into one. At this time, the arc will strongly damage the furnace cover and furnace wall when the power supply is high for a long time. The main task during the melting period is to melt the furnace, but the melting period is to produce slag, which is an important operation content during the melting period. If the requirements of covering precipitation and stabilizing arc are met, 1% ~ 1.5% slag is enough, but from the requirements of dephosphorization, the slag will be oxidized to a certain extent.
